Next Month's Class

I got a sample done for my class next month at Priceless Scrapbooks. It is a coffee gift set and gift card holder. In this class, we will learn how to duplicate both of these pieces, which I made using my very own brain! I didn't have access to any files or templates to make these, so I did the best I could from what I know about how to make a box and a card to come up with my own versions. The coffee bean tag on the cup set is scratch and sniff made with instant coffee and clear embossing powder. The gift card holder works by pulling on the lid of the coffee cup to get to the insert holding the gift card. The paper is Bo Bunny and the stamps are by Just Rite.
On a personal note, today is my sweet granddaughter's fourth birthday! We will be taking her to her party later today. Here she is last Sunday holding her Valentine's Day card from me and her Bobo.

Another TriFold gift card holder

This is another of the double gift card holders I've made lately. This one had a matching card to go with it and was made as the sample for a class at Priceless Scrapbooks. The papers are Bo Bunny and the stamps are from Hero Arts. Here is a shot of the gift card holder in the open position:

Wrap It Up!

Christmas is getting close and it's just about time to get things wrapped up! That's the challenge for this week over at Totally Stampalicious...the make come kind of packaging or topper. I used a tutorial I had in my stash from a technique challenge that was done several years ago on SCS by Lynn Mercurio. My project is a double gift card holder and I used Santa Called Stella and colored her with Copic markers.

The folder opens up to reveal two pockets for holding gift cards. I am not sure, but I think this will go to my DIL. My son bought her an e-reader for Christmas, so I can get her a Barnes and Noble gift card to load some books onto it and also get her a gift card to one of her favorite clothing stores. I will add sentiments when I know exactly where I will use it.

This is a fun project that seems difficult the first time you do it, but once you have worked your way through it, it's not bad at all!

Merry Christmas To All!!

Wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas! We had some of the family over for Christmas Eve. We enjoyed a simple dinner and then rode out to the Cade's (second trip for me and Kenny this year) so the some of the family who had never seen the fabulous light display could check it out. They were not disappointed!
The cards above are the gift card holders I made to be used for the kids this year. I usually get the teenagers gift cards to their favorite stores. The design for these cards was published in an issue of CardMaker magazine that I saw back in September at Scrap Pink. For mine, I used Basic Gray's Eskimo Kisses 6 x 6 pad The stamped images are by Stampin' Up!, though I don't recall which set at the moment and my stamp room has been a declared a disaster area and not fit for human habitation. I hope to take care of that situation this weekend!
I hope each of you has a joyous Christmas! I am certainly enjoying mine so far. Will have a house full again tomorrow for dinner! I'm really looking forward to it! Merry Christmas and good night!
