Glam Kitty in Pink

Here's that sexy kitty again, this time in pink! She just got back from a shpping trip and still has her little Mastercard in hand along with her purchases. Image is colored with Copic markers and popped up on layers of SU retired designer papers. Card stock used was Regal Rose and Sahara Sand from SU! and I stamped the image of Georgia Pacific white. I used some velvet trip from My Mind's Eye in the middle of some lacey trim I had in my stash. A few added blings and there it is.

Had a great time at the yard sale! I made a few dollars selling off some of my outgrown supplies and stamps and enjoyed the company of some wonderful stamping friends. We had a great turn out and laughed constantly! I did some stamping at the Friday night crop, but haven't been able to take any photos yet, so I actually have some stuff to post during the week! Glam Kitty....again!!

I had to make a card with Glam Kitty using my fave colors...purple and blue. This one has a really sparkly dress, also, but on this one I used a clear glitter gel pen to add the sparkle and it is much more understated with its shimmer than the glittered dress I posted earlier this week. I really love this cute kitty set from Totally Stampalicious. I really want to do some paper piecing with her, but haven't had time to do that...just coloring here and there. The papers I used for this card are from a set I have had for such a long time. I think they are by Creative Memories, though I'm not entirely sure that's correct. The card stock is a retired Close To My Heart color called Breeze. The ribbon is a shimmery turquoise color. Not a lot of fancy stuff on this one, but I like it!! Was a nice break from all the pink and red I've been doing lately.
One more work day with the kids and then we have a teacher work day...almost a day off without the kids there. Then I'm off to play at the Friday night crop at Priceless. I have the best time hanging out with the girls down there. Sometimes I don't get much stamping done, but we sure do laugh!! After the crop, we can bring in our stuff for the big stamp/scrap yard sale on Saturday. That's always a lot of fun too and this year I am going to be unloading some of the stuff I have outgrown. And I thought I'd never part with any of my stamps! It finally does happen!!

Totally Stampalicious January Release

I am so excited about the January release of two new stamp sets over at Totally Stampalicioius!! This may be my favorite set from this new company so far!! The images and sentiments in Glam Cat are all just as cute as they can be!! My first project for this release is a checkbook cover that is going to be put into service right away!! I love the sassy shopping sentiment and think it's a perfect way to cover a checkbook!! Her cress is coated in fine glitter and I used a bit of silver cord to make the strap for her purse. The image is colored with Copic markers which I am slowly learning to use. They have a class coming up soon at Priceless that I think I should take! For my checkbook cover I used a base of real red card stock cut to 6 inches square and scored it at three inches in one direction. I matted my colored image in black. The scallop circle was cut using a 2" scallop circle punch and layered on the sentiment. Image was simply colored and added the purse with the cord and a dimensional to pop it up a little. The glittery dress is sooooo sparkly IRL. This is such a versatile set. Glam Cat comes with a shopping bag, hat box, the purse, a big honkin' diamond ring, cash, credit cards and an assortment of cute sentiments! You are gonna love this kitty!!
