Krafty Challenge

My second post today. I'm usually lucky to do two posts in a week! I checked the Ways to Use It challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers this morning and it turned out to be one using one of my favorite card stock colors....kraft!! I just had to play along!
The first thing I grabbed was the 6x6 stack of Basic Gray Kraft dsp that I just had to have and never cut into. I love the look of black and kraft together, so I didn't even have to think about my second color. I dug through my stash of colored images (just love to sit and color some days) and the rest just came together. I really had a great time creating this card, so I hope you like it too! A Daisy for Peggy

I don't what has gotten into me today with all these bright colors. I usually shy away from them except as an accent for other, more subdued colors. This is another card for the Queen for the Day game over at Splitcoaststampers. Today, the queen was one of the sweetest SCSers ever, Peggy AKA MarilynPrestonn, so I just had to play along! The card I cased was very much like the one you see above, except she had used some very soft and pretty pinks and blues. You  can see it here.

Chickadee

I spent some time this past weekend playing with some new rubber. I have wanted to get the Daisy image by Sugar Nellie for some time and finally decided to order her. The only problem was, that poor sweet girl couldn't fly all the way from Scotland by herself, so I added this sweet image to the order. She is called Chickadee and I just loved coloring this one. The colors I used actually match the card stock much better in real life than they do in this photo. The card stock is Bermuda Bay (SU in color) and Basic Black. The flowery image in the foreground is a background stamp I recently purchased from Hero Arts. I stamped it on acetate with black Staz-on and attached it to the card layers using silver brads. Some wide sheer black ribbon finished it off. Pretty quick and easy! Image is colored with Copic markers and stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black.
